On NoWait and NoGaps

Adjacent awareness.

Why it sounds like it lives there.

Adjacent awareness is when we train your Beepless call attendant on things adjacent or relevant to your business and your area. It knows the neighborhoods, the landmarks, the seasons and what callers usually need next, so the call goes much better for customers and prospects.

It's the difference between an interactive voicemail and a receptionist. A voicemail takes down what the caller says. A receptionist knows the area, the business and what the caller probably needs next. Adjacent awareness is how the attendant gets there.

What we train it on

  • The towns, neighborhoods and landmarks around you
  • Who your customers usually are and what they usually need next
  • How to get to you from where callers actually are: hotels, stations, big parking lots
  • Local seasons, weather and events that change why people call
  • Nearby businesses and services you work alongside
  • The words people in your area use for what you do

What it sounds like

A roofing company that knows its cities

The attendant knows the towns it serves, which neighborhoods have older homes and what usually goes wrong with them, and how those homeowners tend to talk. Callers hear someone who knows their street, not a script.

A shop that gives real directions

A caller phones from the hotel down the boardwalk. The attendant tells them how far away they are, which shuttle to take, which way is the scenic walk, and which corner to turn at. The caller arrives, and the shop never picked up.

Examples of businesses like yours. We train every attendant on your own business and area.

The same question, with and without it

On Lite and NoBeep the attendant asks questions and gets answers. With adjacent awareness on NoWait it answers like someone who knows the area. On NoGaps it goes further and acts.

Example: A roofing company

The caller lives in an older brick neighborhood across town and has a leak.

Caller“Do you work in my part of town? We've got an older brick place and there's water coming in over the garage.”

  1. Lite and NoBeep

    Asks and gets answers

“We do cover that area. Tell me your name, the best number and the address, and what you're seeing. I'll make sure the team gets the whole story.”

Collects the details. A good voicemail.

  2. NoWait

    Answers better, with adjacent awareness

“We're out in those older brick neighborhoods all the time. On homes that age, water over a garage is usually the flashing where the garage roof meets the house wall. Is it near that seam? I can have someone look Tuesday at 9.”

Talks like a local. Books the visit.

  3. NoGaps

Asks, answers, decides, guides and acts

“That sounds like the seam where the garage roof meets the house. Water coming in is urgent, so I'm ringing Mara's cell right now. While you wait, put a bucket under it and move anything valuable away from the drip. I'm texting you those steps and Tuesday at 9 as a backup, and Mara may call even sooner.”

Decides it's urgent, rings the owner, guides the caller, texts the steps.

Example: A repair shop near a boardwalk

The caller is standing outside a big hotel in a beach town and wants to drop off a phone.

Caller“Hi, I'm at the hotel and my phone screen is cracked. How do I get to you?”

  1. Lite and NoBeep

    Asks and gets answers

“Thanks for calling. We're at 12 Main Street. Can I get your name and a number, and what's wrong with the phone? Someone will call you back.”

Gives the address, then takes a message.

  2. NoWait

    Answers better, with adjacent awareness

“You're just a few blocks away. Hop on the jitney, or walk about 15 minutes. Take the boardwalk, it's more scenic. Then turn right at the pier and we're a block down on the left.”

Contextual directions, like a receptionist who lives there.

  3. NoGaps

Asks, answers, decides, guides and acts

“You're just a few blocks away. Walking the boardwalk is about 15 minutes and it's the scenic way. Then right at the pier, and we're a block down. Cracked screens are usually same-day, so I'm holding a 2:30 spot and texting you the route. Want me to tell the shop you're on your way?”

Same directions, then books the slot, texts the route and alerts the shop.
